Vodafone has been the first mobile network operator every time to roll- out the next generation of mobile technology maintaining its lead and keeping Fiji on par with the rest of the world.
Our network technology evolution has seen us graduate from 2G (GSM) to; 2.5G (GPRS) to 2.75 (Edge) to 3G and 3.5 (HSPA), 4G, 4G+, 4G LTE- Advanced and now with Pre 5G trials carried out.
Vodafone continues in the pursuit of delivering cutting edge solutions for the many years to unfold. The phase of mobile networks have transformed from not only having the capacity and capability of voice and SMS services but extended to value added services, high speed data and IOT (Internet of Things).
Data consumption on the internet is set to more than triple globally. The same trend has been seen in the Fijian Market. We ensure that Fiji is on par with other countries in the world and remain in the forefront of digital revolution.
The mobile devices are fast becoming the preferred medium for the delivery of many new services such as digital financial services for greater financial inclusion. Vodafone launched its M- PAiSA mobile money platform in 2010 and works to expand this to offer more services through this platform to its customers.
For thousands of EFL (Energy Fiji Limited) prepay customers, it was good news as Vodafone and EFL teamed up to bring the purchase of prepay electricity tokens through the mobile phones. EFL customers using prepaid electricity, no longer need to travel long distances and stand in long queues to buy prepay electricity tokens.
Vodafone and EFL have made it convenient and easy to buy prepay electricity tokens from anywhere and at any time using a mobile phone.

M- PAISA is fast becoming the preferred medium to send money to Fiji by Fijian diaspora living abroad. With the launch of the IMT (International Money Transfer) services through M- PAiSA from New Zealand, Australia, USA, Canada and UK, this will definitely see more customers using this secure and instantaneous medium for money transfer into M- PAiSA mobile wallet.

MPAiSA has been a successful platform and convenient solution for the needy in assisting the government for the grant distribution in the Homes - CARE (Cyclone Assistance Relief Effort) initiative. After the successful completion of the first and second phase distribution of $130 million Homes - CARE grant through the M- PAiSA platform for the TC Winston, TC Josie and TC Keni victims.

Further, Vodafone Fiji won the Excellence in Innovation Award at the prestigious Prime Minister’s International Business Awards in 2017 on an international frontier in Business Service Innovation for the innovative mobile telephony service offered by Vodafone Fiji - "Hosted PBX and Unified Calling Solution on GENCom App. Our customers expect a solution that helps them work from anywhere; the solution focuses on mobility and ubiquitous connection which is a logical extension of our services.
