Nowaday, problems of counterfeit goods, imitated goods and poor- quality goods are one of the persistent problems of society. The negative consequences that it brings to society are not small such as affecting consumers' health and finance, reducing consumer confidence to the transparency of commodity markets, reducing prestige of genuine manufacturers
In order to support consumers and businesses before the "storm" of counterfeit goods and poor- quality goods, Vietnam Post and Telecommunications Group (VNPT) has successfully researched and developed solutions to authenticate origin of goods bearing the name of VNPT Check
VNPT Check is a comprehensive integrated service between: Electronic stamp coding self- producing solution and electronic stamp printing on products by enterprises producing and applying VNPT Check (on smart mobile phones) can scan the stamp code on the product. Consumers can directly collect all information about purchased goods, trace back from the final product to the original place of production, review each stage in processing and distribution.
I. Components of the solution:
1. Product verification code:
A unique, randomly generated series of electronic numbers on the VNPT Check software system, used to assign codes for goods information of Organizations, Businesses, Business households or Individuals.
2. Electronic stamp of VNPT check:
Being stamp which containing an authentication code displayed as a QR code and printed, pasted or any other form attached to the packaging of the goods. Electronic stamps of QR codes are considered as identity cards of consumer products, each product that the business offers on the market is only granted one QR code. Users can use smartphones or other specialized devices to scan, check and authenticate information about the origin of goods declared by Organizations, Businesses, Households or Individuals on VNPT Check system.
3. Functions:
After registering for a service, each business will receive 1 account to login the stamp managing system, so that they can track and trace the activities:
• Authenticating the origin of the product backward from the final product to the original production site.
• Warning when the product is scanned multiple times. Locate suspicious locations with fake stamps.
• Detecting and warning of counterfeit goods
• Managing consignments in the distribution process to the market: enterprises can know which region consignments is being sold through the system's report.
• Analysis of customers' usage information: Through scanning the access traceability code of customers, the enterprise has data to analyze the usage situation of customers for products.
• Enable consumer to leave comments or feedback on the products and services of the business or share the product for their friends and for many people.
