BACKGROUND
A regional strategic events and experiential marketing agency headquartered in Singapore with offices in Kuala Lumpur, Bangkok, Seoul and UAE, amc asia! designs and produces immersive, interactive and experiential B2B & B2C business theatres, brand experiences and experiential journeys.
With 5 new awards in 2014 and 2015, we remain one of the most awarded strategic events and experiential marketing agency in Singapore.
PRODUCT DESIGN & DEVELOPMENT
In a bid to encourage innovation, we gamified the working environment by introducing an initiative where cash incentives were given out to team members who successfully designed and executed campaigns that showed innovation. The incentive motivated and encouraged staff, resulting in an increase in morale and quality of work.
3 key projects that showed innovation in delivery and experience include:
a. IDA Festival of Tech 2015 (Refer to case study)
The first art-meets-technology festival. Together with IDA, amc asia! designed and conceptualized the campaign including collaterals and the campaign identity, weaving in social media contests as well as exciting activities that married art and technology.

b. Ascendas-Singbridge Launch
Guests entered through the back of the stage with a launch sequence that saw the pedestal and backdrop come to life in a dynamic multimedia sequence via 3D mapping.

HUMAN RESOURCES AND EMPLOYEE DEVELOPMENT
We believe in creating a culture where we have creative and happy employees who look forward to contributing amazing work, which in turn creates successful campaigns for our clients. We call this initiative Tao of aWEsome and it has been successfully running for 4 years since its inception in 2012.
We believe in growing the business by growing our staff, so 2015 was the year we sent key individuals to international festivals to learn and get inspired. Some of the festivals include the London Design Festival, Cannes Lions Masters of Creativity, Milan Expo and OFFF Barcelona.
At the end each year, staff can nominate colleagues who have been awesome, where they will be awarded with either a Superman or Wonder Woman award. We also paid tribute to our team of senior members who have been with the company for 10 years where each individual was awarded a luxury watch ranging from a Panerai, Cartier and Jaeger-Lecoultre.
As part of the Tao of Awesome initiative, we encourage all staff to submit their dreams. At the end of 2015, we collected all the ‘dream bytes’ and committed to bringing one of the dreams to life. At random, the final dream selected was “to catch Tomorrowland” with 4 staff winning a sponsored trip to Belgium!
We’ve always encouraged the team to upgrade their skills and knowledge and to continue learning and have designed a scholarship for staff, who want to explore higher level learning.
CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY
Besides professional growth, we also focus on personal growth where we help staff contribute to society. Last year, we worked with several charity organizations like ARC Children’s Centre to organize a charity lunch event to raise money for the organization. We also gave out red packets filled with cash to the elderly community from Touch Community Services and sponsored a home makeover during Chinese New Year.
As an innovative part of our community outreach efforts during Christmas, instead of the regular hampers, we donate to charity in our client’s name and invite them to participate in donation drives with the team which proves to be an innovative way to network and bond with our clients through serving the community.
