2015 Asia-Pacific Gold Winner - Tecsia Lubricants
Company: Tecsia Lubricants, Singapore
Category: Company of the Year - Accounting & Business Services
Entry Title: Tecsia Lubricants
Tecsia Lubricants began its journey initially as a lubricant trading house in 1976. Along the years, we received master distributorships of global industrial brands for South-east Asia. The lubricants we represent are either manufactured in the USA or Europe.
We carry the complete range of food-grade lubricants that are certified HACCP, National Sanitation Foundation International (NSF), Pareve and Halal. Another internationally-approved lubricant range that Tecsia Lubricants represents is MIL-SPEC, a type of defense specification. These certifications not only bring forth international assurance but also allow flexibility on our product line extension.
With all that in place, the organisation soon realised that customers lack the services to complement with the deliverables. The business focus then shifted to provide both quality products and services – transforming our strategy to be of turnkey lubrication solutions. We define this to be a 360-degree process that includes oil analysis, lubricant recommendation, trial runs and technical support.
Other value-added services include site inspections, troubleshooting, root cause failure analysis, provision of trusted lubrication instructions, product customisation corporate training and seminars. These activities instil customer confidence in Tecsia Lubricants as we move away from the perception of a pure trading company.
Headquartered in Singapore, Tecsia Lubricants is constantly growing its presence in South-east Asia with regional offices in Thailand and Indonesia. Oil tests and analysis take place in our laboratory in Singapore. We have a research and manufacturing plant, and sales office in USA too. These facilities support and cater to our clientele’s demand and lubricant supply.
The brands we represent are specifically designed for a wide variety of industries. Today, we have established close working relationships with Singapore Airlines Engineering Company, Hewlett Packard, Cadbury, Nestle, GEA Westfalia, Foxconn, Motorola and many more.
Tecsia Lubricants has been investing efforts into expanding its presence in the steel and sugar crushing industries. We gained the trust and confidence of major market players such as Antara Steel Mills in Malaysia, and Kaset Thai International Sugar Corporation in Thailand. The organisation is expanding its steel lubrication expertise in Malaysia and continuing to dominate Thailand’s sugar crushing industry, which makes up to 60%.
With our active participation in regional trade shows, the distribution of our lubricants in Malaysia, Philippines and Indonesia increased by 10% compared to the previous year. This enables Tecsia Lubricants’ regional manpower and channel marketing to rise in order to cope with the demand. Both customer acquisition and focused retention led to 35% growth in sales.
We also value the importance of certifications from appropriate authorities as this gives us competitive advantage, adaptability and assurance for global clients and partners.
Tecsia Lubricants was honoured to receive Bronze in the Asia-Pacific Stevie® Awards for the category, Fastest Growing Company of the Year. We gained further achievement through the Singapore Enterprise 50 awards which recognised local, privately-held companies to economic development locally and abroad.
In addition, the confidence of our technical team got boosted after two engineers were credited as Certified Lubricating Grease Specialists from National Lubricating Grease Institute (NLGI). They were the only Singaporeans who had been certified in 2013.
